About Joss Cameron. . .

Joss was born and educated in Edinburgh and has spent over 20 years abroad. She has lived in Spain, Gibraltar, Ghana and Australia, teaching and exhibiting her art wherever she was at the time, before returning in 2003 to Scotland, to settle. She graduated as a Botanical Illustrator (RBGE), specialising in Lilium (lilies) and Sorbus aucuparia. (Rowan tree). Joss also holds a BA (Hons) in music.

Joss is also a trained Potter, as well as an Iconographer. Her love for nature, flowers, rainbows, butterflies and trees can be seen in her paintings, which are mainly acrylic on canvas, and some of her paintings include clay flowers and leaves entwined in her work. Joss loves to illustrate for galleries, mainly using watercolour as a medium and polychromos pencils for botanical work, which helps with fine precision and minute detail. She also makes her own clocks - from papier-mache.

Mantle clocks, and grandfather clocks, are bespoke and tailored to the customers' specifications. These clocks are not for the faint-hearted - mostly towering at 9 feet tall, with a working pendulum and big ben chime. These magical clocks work just as a normal grandfather clock would!

Joss's work has been exhibited, sold, and displayed around the world, and she is a Member of The British Association of Iconographers, The SSA (Society of Scottish Artists), and a professional member of The Botanical Illustration Society.
